The company, originally the Capacitor Manufacturing Department of Shihlin Electric & Engineering Corporation, was established in August 1969 and named "TAICON CORPORATION." The following year, it entered into a technical cooperation with Japanese capacitor technology. In 1995, to secure key materials, the company jointly invested with Japan Capacitor Industrial Co., Ltd. and Kawachi Electric Co., Ltd. to establish Taiwan Nichicon Corporation for the production of electrode foil. Through continuous improvements in production technology and quality, the company has progressively enhanced its reputation for excellence.
